This one-of-a-kind tote made with maasai, a fabric known as the “African blanket” and is worn by the Maasai people in East Africa. I bought the material in South Africa where it is just as popular.
Known for it’s strong, thick and durable qualities, this fabric is perfect for a tote bag.
The detailed patchwork/embroidery pockets on both sides of the tote consists of has 3 different varieties of cotton fabrics. Lined with 100% cotton, 2 small inner pockets and a cotton batting interfacing layer which makes the tote slightly more puffy. The straps are 100% cotton webbing, the inner pockets are fastened with metal snap closures.
